The transportation schedule is filled as people call in and make reservations for specific pick-up times. Once the schedule is filled for a particular time slot, other riders must be turned down when requesting that same time slot. The busier our transportation becomes the more frequently this becomes an issue. The cost of sending a bus for a rider that has scheduled a pick-up who is either not at home or who has decided not to go must be considered. It is wasted time and money. It is also a ride that could have been given to someone else. For these reasons, we have developed the following “no-show” policy.
In order to AVOID being considered a “no-show”, you must call dispatch and cancel rides at least 15 minutes before the scheduled pick-up if you live in town and 1 hour before the scheduled pick-up if you live out of town.
A ride is considered a “no-show” if:
- No one is at home and the ride was not cancelled by phone 15 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time if you live in town or 1 hour prior to the scheduled pick-up time if you live out of town, or
- No one is at home and there is a note on the door canceling the ride, or
- Home but cancels when the driver arrives, or
- Home but not ready and the driver must leave because of other rider pick-ups scheduled
Penalty for “no-shows”
Three “no-shows” – – – – – No transportation will be provided for one week
If two “no-shows” occur again after the discontinuation of service for one week – – – – –
No transportation will be provided for two weeks
If one “no-show” occurs again at any time – – – – – – – – – – – –
No Transportation will be provide for two weeks
I have been given a copy of the “no-show” policy. I have read the policy and
understand the consequences if “no-shows” are continued.
