 Home Delivered Meals Drivers for Brewster and Tonasket homebound clients, 1 hour per day.

OCTN application form and background/reference check  form must be filled out entirely to be considered for the position.  Resume alone will not be accepted without the two required forms.

Basic Employment Requirements:

All positions at OCTN, nutrition and transportation, require a pre-employment background check.

Nutrition positions require Food Handler Permit.

Site Director for Oroville Meal site

The Site Director is responsible for all activities at the site during meals. This position is 2.5 hours per day for 3 days a week: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The Site Director serves as host or hostess at the site and will keep accurate daily data of site activities. The Site Director is responsible for all paperwork and making daily bank deposits. The Site Director is responsible for recruiting volunteers for the Nutrition program.

Special Requirements:

  • Be aware of the needs and problems of senior citizens
  • Have an interest in improving the general living standards of the elderly
  • Possess an understanding of the community’s make-up and local resources
  • Be personable, friendly, patient and courteous to all persons attending the meal site. Have the desire and ability to associate with and relate to seniors
  • Able to maintain a cooperative, coordinating team effort with other employees
  • Obtain and keep a current Food Handler’s Permit
  • Complete and submit a Washington State Criminal History Background inquiry form upon hire
  • Must be physically able to assist participants when necessary and to help in the kitchen when necessary
  • Must comply with all OCTN proceedures

Aide/Cook’s Helper for Chelan Meal Site

The cook’s aide, under the direction and supervision of the Cook, is responsible for helping prepare, serve and clean up for each meal served at the congregate site and for home delivered meals prepared at the site. Candidates must have the ability to fill in for the cook as required when necessary.

  • Must be clean, neat, courteous and friendly
  • Must be willing and able to take direction
  • Must be able to complete tasks in the time allotted
  • Have experience and knowledge in serving meals to large groups
  • Able to maintain a cooperative, coordinating team effort with other employees
  • Obtain and keep a current Food Handler’s Permit
  • Complete and submit a Washington State Criminal History Background Inquiry Form
  • Must be physically able to lift large pans of food and supplies (up to 50 lbs) and stand for periods of time. Bending, stirring, chopping and cleaning required
  • Must be physically able to assist participants when necessary

BUS DRIVERS –  part time

Relief as needed in the Omak/Okanogan area.  Class B passenger endorsement preferred. Starting wage $14.52, increases to $16.02 after 3 months employment.

Bus drivers must pass pre-employment and random drug testing and pass the WSDOT physical,  be 25 years of age and have a clean driving record for the past 3 years
